DAVE ADLARD - CANDLE IN THE WOODS
Dave is the Chef/Owner of Candle in the Woods near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was the Winner of Judge's Choice and People's Choice at the North Idaho Culinary Competition. This year, Dave was also the Winner of People's Choice at the "Chef Battle INW," and is top of their national leaderboard, competing in national final in November.
The Creator of acclaimed Culinary Kid's Academy at The Culinary Stone, Dave has also appeared on Food Network, as well as many regional and national publications.
He loves having fun cooking, and entertaining new friends, and is honored to be a part of From the Ashes Idaho in this June.

MATT CURMI - WILDWOOD GRILLING
Matt worked his first kitchen job as a pasta cook in the country of Malta at age 15. After gaining a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Matt decided to learn about the culinary arts by traveling and working. He gained kitchen experience in a variety of locations under chefs with varied styles, from casual dining to a Thai Pub to Michelin star. He has worked as a restaurant Chef in Arizona, Maine, Spain, the UK, Oregon and finally North Idaho. Now the Executive Chef at Wildwood Grilling, he thoroughly enjoys his day job.
Wildwood Grilling has embraced the ancient traditions of smoking and cooking with wood. They specialize in smoking blocks, grilling planks, cedar wraps, skewers and smoking chips. All of their materials are sustainably sourced and certified food safe, and they are one of the few companies who can claim this in their market. As a company, they are devoted to spreading the ‘good word’ of outdoor cooking and firmly believe that although it can never mastered, there is a great deal to gain by trying.

NICK ISENBERG - CHOMPER CAFE
Nick started out in a restaurant kitchen at the age of 18 and has worked in just about every capacity possible. From small mom and pop to high capacity kitchens like Boise State, he has a wide range of experience. His very favorite food to serve up are burgers and bbq. And his smoker is his favorite toy! Currently you can find him at Chomper Café in Hayden, Idaho slinging burgers and rolling fresh cinnamon rolls.

TERESA WHITNEY - SYSCO SPOKANE
Teresa grew up on a ranch in South Dakota thus starting her love of great quality COP proteins. She relocated to the Spokane area in her early teens. Never losing sight of her beginnings and love of beef Teresa’s desire to enter the culinary scene demanded attention. After graduating with honors from Inland Northwest Culinary Academy, She held positions in local restaurants in and around Spokane. Pastry was a focus in the beginning, but she just couldn’t stay away from butchering and working with animals.
Teresa now holds the position of Center of the Plate specialist with Sysco Spokane and brings her passion of quality, straight forward and delicious food to fellow chefs, restaurateurs and customers alike. We are happy to welcome Teresa back for her second year as an Application Station Chef at From the Ashes Idaho!
